Planet Meshes

Has anyone ever created higher res sphere meshes for planets?

Whenever I take a beauty screenshot near a planet, the sphere mesh edges show and it obviously doesn't look good.

DS9FX uses higher-poly planet models.  You can edit the texture in NifSkope and save it to overwrite the original BC planet models.

Check out this thread, planets in BC are capable of looking way better than they do in stock, it’s just a matter of getting the proper tools and setting up the model properly.

I agree DS9FX Xtended is a good starting point, to play around with new planets and system maps. There are plenty of planet textures sources on the net. Here is an example of my creation of the planet Deneva from TOS.
