Yes, i know what you mean. It seemed indeed there was wrong with the shadows and also with the ambient light. Here is the result from another try:



I'm just not sure about the phaser...

Vast improvement.

The animation is a little shaky but was a good learning experience.

Looks cool! If you could add some volumetric streaks coming out from the planet, it would look even more realistic, and VideoCopilot just posted a new tutorial on how to make them, given that you have the software of course :)

Here's two new ones from me, featuring Wiley's NX. These were more or less experiments with creating an Enterprise-Era Warp Effect and with some new lighting techniques I picked up.

Ok so been playing with some render's today to see what i could do,
Here is a stock render from max, No editing

Now i have gotten hold of Red Giants, Magic Bullet Look and Wow it is amazing, so i called this, rebuilding a legend, its NOT the wrong dock its not the classic being refitted, its the classic being rebuilt for a ceromony or somthing
