Indeed. Just have seen that pic too. looks really crazy. But in the movie it looks much more greyer and darker and with some brown or rosty.

Here's a quick question...which version of the shuttlebay is this?

Shuttle bay is from the first film.

I may modify it yet for the ENT-A.

Anyway last update for today. here is some in game footage of the shuttle launching and some glamore shoots of the connie in game.

That's a neat little Shuttle Baz but didn't the Surak dock to the back of the bridge in TMP?  Either way that's pretty cool

yes, but the original design was also supposed to be used as the Enterprise's standard shuttlecraft, which landed in the hanger bay.

Actually the model is slightly pink:

here's a link to it on Proberts website: http://probertdesigns.com/Folder_DESIGN/LR_Shuttle-2.html

Guys, Baz is right about this one, believe me!

I think sometimes non-modders don't believe we do bother researching our projects.  Though obviously can never be perfect all time and sometimes make mistakes  :angel

Shuttle bay is from the first film.

Just wanted to clarify.  Why they changed the shuttlebay in each movie is beyond me...the one in ST5 made that part of the ship seem...smaller, IMO.

the shuttle bay i don't think has ever been smaller...a lot of what you see in TMP is the CARGO bay..remember the cargo bay and shuttle bay are two totally different things...just like in TNG aboard the Enterprise D..you never saw cargo containers in the same bay as shuttlecraft aboard the Enterprise unless the shuttle was indeed hauling something...but the times that happened were few and far between...i don't think aboard the refit Enterprise that the main shuttlebay was 2 and a half times as long as the shuttlebay was on the TOS Enterprise...it would make more sense for the cargo bay to be expanded and the shuttlebay to remain roughly the same size...

I looked at the HD screencaps, and the warp sled is indeed pinkish-BUT, the blue/green screen most likely washed out much of the color to a grayish-pink. This is a similar effect to the TOS Enterprise for it being blue/green/gray. For Baz, I believe a grayer version of the base color would be good, with a hint of pink. Please do not make it look like Barbie's Outerspace Adventure Sled. :funny It's your ship- you can color it as you like.

I think we should let Baz have the next post and not being bombarded by ship color opinions.

Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

I'm damed if I do, and damed if I don't. All ref point to the colour being the colour I have used.

This canon so as it stands it should stay as it is. I read that probert painted it this colour to show that all ships in the starfleet are made by different cultures to show some variation in design and he was also disappointed that the colour was neutralized during filming.

As it stands I will leave it as is. this is just a low poly add on to the connie I don't want to get bogged down in the colour scheme.

Like it or not  (and yes I'm not a fan of it either) it is canon.

Seems like it could be a tradition to do so since Vulcan ships were seen as Red in First Contact and then again on Enterprise, (although those were pre-Federation design).  You could assume that Vulcan's enjoy Redish colored ships.
