The title says it all, it can range from dislike to hate. Personally mine is Kai Winn from DS9, every time she opened her mouth all I wanted to do was punch her in the face.

That actress does a good job of playing unlikeable characters. From Nurse Ratshi-errr, Ratched to Kai Winn.

Least favourite character, as a person, Kai Winn, definately. But the character, script-wise and portrayal, was very good.

I too despise Winn with a passion, though Wesley Crusher and Neelix are pretty high on my list too.

Well, I thought Wes and Neelix did seem like believable characters, despite the fact that they were annoying. But Winn, I gotta say I think that the idea of a person like her becoming the leader of the Bajoran religion is bull.

Mine was always Gul Dukat, even when they made him 'good' I still didn't trust him or his motives.

Least as in terms of annoying I would have to go with Troi until the 6th/7th season. She didn't really do much except sit there and state the telepathic obvious

btw - Kai Winn was even more evil and horrible in the movie Flowers In The Attic (look it up and watch it)
but she redeemed herself in the movie "Firestarter" (also, look it up and watch it)

Well the Bajoran faith is more political than most faiths here and now. And take a look at a lot of politicians nowadays (and over the last century)!

I'd have to say quite the opposite. Elim Garak was one of my favorite characters on the show (the other, was The Sisko). The whole thing about Garak, is that you never knew if you could trust him or not, or what stories he told were truthful, and which were blatant lies. He was either a bloodthirsty assassin, or a plain simple tailor. Sometimes a bit of both

Least favorite (by far, in my opinion): Vedek/Kai Winn. She was a b--ch when she was a simple Vedek, and she became moreso after being promoted to Kai. But then, she eventually ended up walking the path of the Pah Wraiths, so it's no surprise there.

2nd runner up, would be Gul Dukat.

(hmm, this post just became very DS9-centric... oh well. Very well-rounded show overall.)

Well DS9 was the show with the most "recurring characters", so it stands to reason that they stick in our minds better than whatshisface from TOS, or whatsit from TNG.
