Now, that bridge looks like a perfect 'in-betweeners' of ENT and TOS bridge modules. That, and the Kelvin bridge that is.

The Enterprise 'iBridge (lol) was just way too clutered. The excessive lens flares didn't help it either.

I actually like the Kelvin alot more than the Enterprise. Anyone else agree on that?

The USS "Iowa" bridge IS the Kelvin's bridge. :P  At least in the early pre-production art.

I'd like to see this movie yet again, but my stupid town's movie theater dumped it already. :(

Actually, I didn't get that feeling at all, seemed snug but with room to move. Enough for Spock to lay into Kirk.

...Probably not, but the number I get(379.6m) could be considered ?original intent,? a term that I think I will be using from now on, and ?canon? be damned.

Its the same practical set. But like with almost all other bridge sets through-out Star Trek's production history, it was redressed from its Kobayashi Maru configuration to its Kelvin configuration. I think the Kobayashi Maru sequence was filmed before the Kelvin sequence during production of the film, but don't quote me on that.

So then he was right? Either way, that view is perfect to truly admire the bridge design. Didn't get much of a chance what with the movie moving and all.

EDIT: This could go on forever and I could say the exact same thing about the Prometheus and Excelsior etc.

Right, in the way that its the same set if that is indeed what he ment.
Wrong, in the way that the 2 were the same in a 'small details' sense.

In the interview, Clyne says that the Kelvin was originally named the Iowa.

that bridge (USS Iowa) is much nicer and more appealing than the Enterprise's iBridge was IMO...  thats what they should have used instead...  i also found the Ent iBridge too cluttered...  those stupid windows or panels or whatever those standing consoles were really made the bridge feel closed in to me...

And yet, the pictures I posted earlier prove otherwise.

but, um, ya...  ummm...  what were we talking about again? lol
oh ya, the Iowa Bridge being much cooler than the Ent's iBridge... :P
you know, i hate to seem petty but if they had used that as the Ent's bridge, i might have liked the movie a bit more lol

If we took the Iowa bridge, lightened it up a bit and added a few more shiny buttons, I think it would do much better as the Enterprise bridge. :D
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

actually thats one thing about the iBridge i didnt care for, the bright-whitewash-sunglasses-needed effect...
that, and those stupid windows/panels/consoles/whatever that were just in the way lol
