overall design is pretty cool tho I think nacelles pylons are a bit to fragile, they look like they're about to collapse / bend...

Thanks for the input guys.  I took Bone's suggestion on the engine pylons and worked in deadthunder2_0's torp pod request.  I think it worked out well.  Problem is I can now take out two D-7's with only moderate shield damage, but she looks intimidating.

give it less saucer phasers, and weaker shields, after all, Destroyers are lightly armored, but heavily armed ships

I was gonna say, two D7s (which are CAs) against a DW? The DW should get hammered and not have a scrap left over.

Furyofaseraph,

I agree completley and hence my problem.  The hull and shields specs are where they should be for a DW of the TOS era but there is too much firepower on this thing.  Maybe I need to either re-classify to a battle cruiser or cut down on the armaments.

What do you guys think?

Make it a APS (All Purpose) get rid of all saucer armaments, for labs, and sensors. Change the saucer to a Miranda type, and put labs where the shuttle bays are
(Most work)

OR

You could make a GMC (Guided Missile Cruiser) by replacing the megaphasers with missiles, and the phasers on the saucer with micro-sized beam emitters emitting a burst of energy like the AMDs in SFC
(kinda hard, you would need my missiles, and i would be glad to let u use them)
I would like to see some SFC elements, like low guidance torps, and fast fire phasers

OR

You could make a NXDN (Experimental Dreadnought) type of ship, using early TMP style weapons, this ship could be a testbed, this would require a slightly paler texture scheme, Bright red phasers, and dark red photons that look like TOS torps, but are stronger. Also this would make quite interesting game play, and this is my FAV option
(Very Easy, just a change in hue, a new torp, and color change in phasers)

OR

You could make a DN, by replacing the saucer with a Federation class saucer
Fairly easy, minor change to hps, and model

jest a thought bud, would it not look better with the torp pod nesseled under the deflector housing? I really liked the orignal one better, this way it looks like a lot of wasted space in the ship havine so many pylons. Its jest a thought.

Bridge won't get blasted off, there is enough clearance.

Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.
