Ok here we post screenshots of the slipstream as there is a new one in development (V3). Here we can discuss improvements on the old one and the new one to perfect the screenshots.

Also it would be nice if other people could upload their custom slipstream effects and then we could perhaps release them in a pack.

Ok, to start this off i was thinking of a romulan slipstream. All green and stuff. Here's kind of what I had in mind but it needs improvement.

i like it! even if it werent specifically for Romulans, i like the green color of it!

Yea, thats pretty bad, Slient change to it and it would probably work for the borg as well

Yeah I think it just needs to be toned down a bit, made darker and the light in the centre smaller. Perhaps I could make it a bit more like the Time Squared one but greenish.

By the way this is another one i'm working on. (It's POTD at the moment). It's the DR. WHO time vortex. The slipstream is taken directly from the ending credits.

I played around with that texture again, and here's the result.

Oh yeah, I couldn't use the enterprise because of a scripting error. Probably something overwritten, anyway...I had to use the venture. It's not cannon, but it still looks nice.

i'm gonna move this thread over to BC Modding...
since it seems like things people are working on, and as well comparing notes on, for a potential release to everyone...
(am i correct in this assumption? if not, lemme know, and it can stay here where it is...)

Yeah go ahead.

Anyway here's my old vortex shot and Cordanilus' new one to compare side by side. The top's mine. Using slipstream V2 and the bottom is Cordanilus' using V3

Well i've been having some problems with the V3. Do you have any ideas Cord? The first one shows how it starts when you enter and the second one is the only effect I can get. Also I can't exit the slipstream.

BTW i'm pretty sure that the time squared vortex was used in Decent Pt1 as the transwarp drive. Perhaps we could create a flash effect like this?

lukerobin, post a console report if you please.

I've got nothing wrong in my install and I haven't done anything to slipstream in about a month. JB06 has it installed as well, but I've not heard anything wrong on his install either. The console report should help, and get it when you are in slipstream.

I finally have modded a ship to use slipstream!

I'll take a stab at this- how about the wormhole from ST:TMP? To my knowledge this hasn't been done yet.
