Torpedo firing from wrong Position
« on: August 15, 2008, 10:19:13 AM »
I again started modeling and have made little fighter (very little, smaler than a Peregrine).
However, I hardpointed it with the mpe and anything is right, even the minimini - Phaser, except, the torpedo is firing from somewhere near the middle of the fighter, and not from where I said in mpe. Anything i tried only resulted in firing upward, not forward, but still from the same position. Is that a common problem with little ships, or is there a solution for this?
Anyway: thanks for your help

It might be firing from the right spot but due to the size if the torpedo appears to be firing from the middle. I believe torpedoes are actualy created just behind the line. It's noticable on large ships if you zoom in close. I would adjust the size of your torpedo till it's scaled as small as your fighter. If that's not it, place it with the place tool on mpe, then manualy adjust the the coordinance (I believe it's the z value, in the positive direction) but make sure the end of the line is just touching the launcher.
I just realised something. I've released over 300 fully modded ships for bridge commander. Bow to your master :D
