Looks great!

But I still think the nacelle's too big.... or the saucer is a bit too small.

And the registry seems pretty high for a TOS ship?

Yes, compared to the saucer and its textures, the rest is way too big.

I can only think of cutting off the nacelle, and placing it underneath to look like a TOS version of that USS Kelvin.

Though this one still looks great.

A bit blurry on the renders, I've noticed. Otherwise it looks awesome. :]
Must be a Max render setting...off to investigate!

Edit: It maybe Motion Blur/or me saving to jpg. lol.

Under Jpeg image control when you're just about to save the image, make sure you have smoothing turned off. I find it adds a blur of sorts, kinda like a Gaussian Blur.

~~

The ship looks pretty good. Could you render a top view of it so we could better see a size comparison between the nacelle/pylon and the saucer? :]

Nice work Grunt and Hello BC people.

That 514 registry is referenced in the Starfleet Technical Manual:

Actually JJ screwed up - what a surprise.

USS Rahman (NCC-514) was a Saladin-class destroyer on active duty in Starfleet during at least the 23rd century. (Star Fleet Technical Manual)

700 gets this registry beyond the Saladin and Hermes Class registries.
..because the game does not have to remain the same..

The Tokyo is done except for these two things:

1. I can't use the bussard texture ive been using...need help finding a different one :?
2. I need someone who can port to BC..

Whats wrong with... oh I don't know... making your own textures?

EDIT: Chris, the USS Kelvin in the new movie is the NCC-0514 (not NCC-514). While we've never seen ships with a 0 before the number, I wouldn't exclude the possibility. Eventhou I hate the looks of both the new Enterprise, and the Kelvin.

Actually, there is one ship with a "0" before it.  NX-01...I suppose that opened the door to NCC-0514.  But if that were the case, then I can put registries on ships like "NCC-001701" or even "NCC-01701". Since that timeline is before TNG, DS9 and Voyager...wouldn't there be ships in those eras with 0's in front of them as well? Does that seem logical to you?

[OnTopic]

I can port it to BC for you, if you'd like.  As for the bussards, what kind of file is it?  Maybe I can alter your model a bit to allow for a rotating bussard (texture-wise).  I should be able to create a new texture for the bussards if I can't convert the original ones.

We agree on the new Enterprise and Kelvin movie looks Thunder.

Cord - can this have animated bussards in BC? Who did that TOS Enterprise a log time ago - the one with animated bussards..

Okay dokey. :D  I have the ship ingame now.  Just editing the texture-animated bussard and working on the HP.

I was thinking of balancing it to the TCMP.  Will have to ask permission for the use of the HP as a basis.  Unless you're reading this phaser...:D  I'll either PM you and/or email you anyway.
