Shuttle flyby problem
« on: March 05, 2009, 07:27:39 AM »
Hey,

Does anyone have a problem regarding shuttles going invisible during a flyby and then reappearing?

Want to get some flyby shots of shuttles and film them in Fraps but I can't because of that, it's kinda frustrating. Anyone know how to fix this?

try putting the camera angle back [zoom back] it tends to happen if the view is zoomed in to much.

You could always PM Cordanilus.

He seems to have found a way to not make ships vanish when doing fly-by's in his videos.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

Flyby's not involving going straight at the camera. You can do a flyby if you get the angles right. Of course, if cordanilus has worked some cool magic, I demand to know now! lol :D.

So really your shuttle disappearing and reappering is a game engine thing. I fail to see why it should happen though...

I'll move this to BC Modding, I think you will get more chance there.
I think it's some kind of camera setup (based on the hp viewpoints) problem.
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

not dissapearing, more like the camera is ending up inside of a the mesh for a brief period of time, for some reason. This happens when trying to hp very small craft in the MPE. You are either zoomed out too far or you see nothing at all.
I just realised something. I've released over 300 fully modded ships for bridge commander. Bow to your master :D
