Sorry, I wasn't intending to try and take away from your and JB's work.  I was just trying to show that the two of you were on the right track. :hithead:

Fishy or not, she sits at 18527 polys. I feel cheep now, showing whats under my skirt with out a dinner and a movie...... At the very lease a beer :funny

But by the wireframes, you can do better than that. You could shave off polies in many places without loss in visuals. Also, I hope the only sections not seamless there are the escape pods and transporter pads, which you really don't need modeled (BC's lightning system will only make a mess of them).

The saucer segmentation (not counting the saucer edge), sec hull cutout, nacelles, nacelle struts, sec hull top around the shuttlebay, deflector well, brigde, decks 2-4 structure could all loose polies without degradation in looks. you could without any problems shave off at least around 5k polies off this without any degradation in visuals that really count in BC's engine.

and not even acknowledging the joke :P Typical Adonis, Typical :P

This is looking good though, but Adonis is right, While I like the raised detail on the Luna-Class, I'm not planning on modeling those in, I plan on using textures to my advantage.  (that is...when I get the hang of what I'm doing with the Luna Class...)

However, at 18.5k I could probably run about 2 on my system without lag LOL So I'm not worried what you do or don't do :)

W was able to drop her down to 15k, but i was not happy with the smoothing, even after i re did them. So im going to leave it as is for now. I may revisit it later, but there are many ship larger than mine here so i'm happy with my work.

Outdo yourself by building a better (read: lower poly mesh that looks just as good) model, not what others did in higher poly and didn't bother to finish properly.

I looked, but can't find it. Like i said, i'm happy and proud of the work i did and i'm sorry if it does not live up to your standers. I started modeling a year ago today by simple kit bashes, and now i'm building hole ships from scratch. I'm not where you guys are yet, but give me time and i jest might give you a run for your money. This is my first super clean model, and fully accredit to the specs i have, so like i said, i'm happy and proud. And no, i'm not lazy, i jest spent the day using pro otmizer and re smothing her. At the end i was not happy with it so i'm standing by my model. If i'm going to be jugged by my work, at this moment, this is my best.

But thank you for your input, i did learn some new things today, like optmizing my model befor i do details and smothing, so in my next build that will be a plus. My intent it to build models that are good enuff to use in rendering in my show, with lots of details, and that still can be used in BC. Over all i say i met my goal, and the designer loves it so i'm happy.

I don't think it has two sensor wings on the top of it, just the one

Ive had a little more time to work on the Cadence & here's the progress... Just a note i haven't even started the details on the nacelles, so don't worry & ive got a bit more work to do on the edge of the pylons, other than that, the dorsal view is complete.

Enjoy

Sweet, this is amazing work   Menbers of the team have been asking me to invite you to the team, your skill is awasome my friend and we would love to have you offically, and it would not affect you other work, would you be interested?

And after seeing JB's work, i'm a little imbarrest to show my update of the fighter. There is still a little tinkering to do but this is what i got. Enjoy

Thats because the Arrow is the first Incarnation of this design about 5 years ago. We've since renamed it gryphon and updated the design twice, now looking like what is shown here as the Stormcrow variant :)
