So just to get this little bit of confusion with me sorted, the rar we send to BCF should look something like this?:
Christmas Day Mods.rar ---> Mod x (folder) ---> data, scripts, sfx folder and files etc.
Mod x Pics (folder) ---> Pictures of Mod x
---> Mod y (folder) ---> data, scripts sfx folder and files etc.
Mod y Pics (folder) ---> Pictures of Mod y
That is how I've interpreted the instructions given by Starforce.
Do not include the pix *IN* your mods rar file. If you submit ship x, ship y, and ship z, then you should make a separate rar file (one rar) with folders labled X, Y, and Z and filled with the corresponding pix, directly to a staff member, preferably myself or blackrook, so when we start posting your files we have pix to upload.
If you use the user submit system rather than email or IM:
Make sure (christmas release) is in the mod title. We'll remove it when we approve the file and set the timer so it doesn't look silly once posted, but not everyone may be holding releases till christmas so we need a way to tell which should be held and which shouldn't. If you don't MARK IT and it gets posted right away instead, it's *your fault*.
It should also allow you to submit your pix when you submit your mod. Also, do not use a word for word passage from your readme as a description. Filefront doesn't allow files to be posted like that beacuse it looks bad/lazy and we are supposed to try and avoid that. Make sure the description is a paragraph long description of what your mod is. You can include things like texture res, poly count, ship length, where it fits in the timeline, class, what it's armed with, ect. Easy to get a paragraph with that for any ship. It can be longer but lets not get carried away and write a ten page essay.
If for some reason you can't submit the pix, again, sort pix by ship, rar them all in one batch and give that directly to us.
Also, just a reminder, make sure credits and any permission issues are delt with ahead of time and each ship has a readme.
