Mnemosyne Class Refit
« on: January 01, 2010, 05:19:33 PM »
Yo Yo Yo,

Got another ship to show off to everyone, it was supposed to be released in the Ultimate Universe Stage 2 but it was released before it got in the mod. No Armor on this one just a Two-Toned Hull, redesigned deflector, and added shuttle bays. It will eventually be also included into an SFC3 mod. The ships named after a famous composer Brian Transeau most will know him as simply BT a Techno/Electronia artist. So heres the first official preview of the U.S.S. Transeau.

Ah the Mnemosyne :) i haven't seen this baby for a long time, nicely reworked I must add ;) perhaps you could make that black armor the same color as CG Sov hm ? it's kind of dark grey with a shade of copper, detail vut will give it better feel IMHO ;)

Well done!

I'm curious though, did you by chance get (or need) permission to redo this ship? I seem to remember that Zombie Zan takes ownership rights of his ships quite seriously.

Zambie Zan imported the ship to BC, so i had to ask Wiked Zombie for permission, which i did back when i had the ship ported over to legacy.

Ask WZ again for this too, trust me on that, I know the Deadmans ways :P

Lol I hope WZ will agree on that, I always had a weakmess for this design :D
I also noticed that escape pods are a bit cartoonish, sand brown with dark brown outline... maybe if they were without that outline and just fake-bumpmapped - just like transporter panells it would look a lot better (Captain Elgy made escape pods same way in his Nebula class)

Hmm.. I'm on the edge with this one. I sort of like the overall design, and sort of dislike it. It's somehow "trapped" between Ambassador ( which I dislike) and Galaxy ( which I like from certain angles), which makes it bit.. uncertain of what it wants to be when it grows up. :(

The ship's design is more a mix of the Sovereign and Galaxy classes.  The only thing that gives any Ambassador class impression is the escape pods on the saucer.  Reminded me of the Ambassadors.

Well, at least the auxiliary shuttle/cargobay  doors are same size, unlike in Galaxy. That is an irksome feature in the Galaxy..  :wtf Now that I think of it, I might actually like this over a Galaxy. I'm that big bitch for the symmetry.  :funny

Wait, what? Isn't that called a power supply, or are you using a laptop?

considering he said he was on his last charge... I'd say laptop...
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

It's his laptop.  He's been having problems with his charger for a while now, and it's been overheating for like a month.  I'm surprised his machine wasn't nuked as well.  I think he's already ordered a charger for his machine, but not sure.
