Im still using XP, but im sure there are a few people on BCC that use Vista,
So my best guess is that you can play it, but im not too sure if they encounted any bugs as a result of it..

Mods don't matter. If mods work in BC, then mods work in BC regardless of the OS on which BC runs.

I believe there are a couple of people who run BC on Vista.
No problems encounterd, a friend of mine runs Vista, and he hasn't found any problems, not even under Vista 64, you know, in the early days with driver problems.

AFAIK, if you have the right drivers for your hardware and Vista is correctly installed, you shouldn't have problems.
the most common problems you might have is a GFX driver that vista doesn't support, but they might have fixed that by now

Good since, it looks like things are moving that way, and we're going to have to go to Vista one day.

Interesting, I wonder why my MPE crashes when I load a HP (loads the model fine)..

that proves that Vista has no issues with the engine.
try loading the same model, but another HP. most likely the file is ambiguous in some part.
usually, crashing the MPE happens when BC fails and affects directX. you get a DirectX error when you load BC and MPE gives a renderer error.
restarting should fix it.

Lol, yeah I know all that. It crashes with any HP. Ithink its something to do with the way vista handles folder browsing that the MPE doesn't like....

Edit: Tut tut, schoolboy error. App.py and GlobalPropertyTemplates.py need to be in the same directory as ModelPropertyEditor_s.exe.

It happens...

I've upgraded to Vista and everything runs smoothly.
