Title: .NIF versions
Post by: lint on December 31, 2007, 08:37:43 AM
Just a quick question for anyone who might know..
If you export a ship in max 3.1 using the Exporter and then open that .nif with nifskope then resave it, will it change the version of the nif?

Nifskope should save in it's current .nif format, of course the only way to be sure is to give it a try!!. I'd suggest backing up your current files and then try exporting it and and then saving in Nifskope.  :D

AFAIK, no.
all you need to do is be careful with the structure of it.
ya know,

noname
    |----noname
                |----SceneRoot
                             |---- all the other stuff
