Title: AI Auto Warp? What exactly does this function do?
Post by: Picard_1 on August 05, 2008, 01:24:35 AM
What exactly does this function do? I thought the enemy was supposed
to warp out of the system before being destroyed but it never happens.
Yes, I have the mutator enabled.

Well, it might not be used.

For example, originally, there wasn't any warping in QB, and most AI in the single player is scripted especially for that (or using components) and most missions are about destroying the ships, so it wouldn't help if the ships would constantly warp away.

If you use Miguel to scan the area you'll get a report that lists the stats of all the ships
in the area. It will also list any "warp signatures." So I thought it was another fun factor
mod where enemies would warp out and you could track them down by scanning for
warp signatures.

That's a mod to! ;)

Ask the mod author if he/she can activate that AI component.

I believe that's Defiant.
