Title: locking/firing on multiple targets

I'm pretty sure there is a mod or way implement this, but where is it? I used search but all I came up with was talk about which kind of weaponry Rhode Island should have. :?

Ah, thanks for the quick reply. :) will installing the mentioned mod affect all ships, or only the ones that support it?

edit: all ships, it seems. [Vulcan]However[/Vulcan], the ship still fires only to single target. I still haven't figured out if those secondary target buttons even work..

Look at the readme, if I remember correctly, you use the numpad numbers to assign extra targets. Aside from that, the Phaser array needs to be capable of multiple firing.

well, it's not working yet..

this is in the readme:

well, I was well within phaser range, and no matter what order I used when pushing the numpad etc etc, nothing happened.  :? I guess I have to take this to the author of the mod to see what I'm doing wrong this time..  :(

you have to choose a target and fire on it...
then click "Secondary Targetting" and then "Take Secondary Target" and then choose a different target and fire at that one...  you should then be firing at both ships...  to fire on a 3rd (4th, 5th, etc) repeat those steps...

im pretty sure thats how it works (its been a while so i cant 100% recall at the moment)...  but it is something like that, just play around with the functions, you should be able to nail it after trying...

I did check it, and even with search I didn't find download links that would work. :? oh well, I'm pretty sure this can be found from from filefront..

Well, that's what it basically is, right..? firing all phasers that have enemy ship within their coverage area.

Yes. For example, you have a target selected and it is right in front of you. Also, your ship has "auto-targeting" phasers, towards all directions, kinda like the Sovvie in KM1.  When you press the button to fire phasers, all possible ones will fire on your target, like usual, however the unused phaser arrays will fire on other close enemy ships, to maximize combat efficiency ;)

The reason you can't find it is that it wasn't released yet lol
