I have played around with the curves tool from photoshop. it's pretty cool to change the tone of certain colors and I thought about making a lighter, less contrasted version of the CG sovereign, to make it look like a First Contact Enterprise.
what do you think? I have added my original CG Sov revamped next to the First Contact one so you can see the difference.

Yeah, that's the speculars. I will change that. I have to change the contrast of all dark lines aswell. plating must be really black, while the hull itself is very lit.

Yeah I think you should recert to your original revamped impulses other than that it's cool, don't forget to make the hull less reflective and more matte.
btw. I'm glad you decided to pick that one from ashes ;) I liked the idea back in BCU and I like it now as it's the only Sovvy we're missing

you can see the changes. no extra phaserstrips, no extra torpedo tubes, and lowered nacelles just as it should be!
On the NIFskope pics you will see the difference. thanks again to bankrupt. :)

mmm cute, speculars might be a little bit too contrasted but hull color is perfect, good job ;)

all the phasers on the saucer are the same from FC to Ins and Nemesis...the only phasers added were the 4 to the upper and lower parts of the pylons...looks good..release that shit bro!!! At last a good FC Sov to go with JL's Nemesis revamp...good job JTK!!

yeah i know, but im not nitpicking, bankrupt did this for me and im pretty satisfied with the results :)
the speculars are from my original revamped. i have no idea why they look so damn great :funny

problem is, im a complete noob at texturing, but im good at editing existing ones

Maby a compromise. THe cg textures are the best out for the sovy, and JTK's work specks for its self. But i jest looked through the pages on the link that JB sent and i see a tone of detail that is missing from the CG textures. So i would suggest start from scratch with GC sovy textures, your if your happy with the ones that you have done then use them, and simply add a new layer to each targa and fill in all the missing detail. The GC textures have 80% of everything needed, the armor it right, the aztecking is spot on, but windows are missing, detailing around the saucer and hull and nacellas are missing to. SO it wouldn't be from scratch, but defently would be the new standered for sovy textures. And from there you can up date the Nemises textures as well. Jest a thought.

Have to start somewhere :D, besides i reckon you'll do a great job ;) Like i said in my thread i dreaded every trying to do the sovvy because of the aztec pattern, but i eventually got round to doin it and look how it turned out ;)

Nemesis textures are completely different, thats why I made brand new textures of the nemesis version :P

well, since i dont have that much time to texture from scratch and i am really impatient... ill stay with this one for now. ill have to fucuse on the coriniums specs next.
changed the bussards and made a new hp for this one based on the KM.
single fire phasers. weaker shields/ablative armor. slower impulse speed. but i have added new sounds and torpedoes, so you will like it that way.

Change the blue of the windows. It should be more like this smiley :(. And also make the quantum core more fuzzy, it looks too sharp.
