Here is the FASA Loknar Class. As always, comments and suggestions are appreciated.
-
From the top, looks fantastic, almost like a TOS Proxima. From the other angles, I'd lower the nacelles and completely remake those pylons, they're very un TOS-ish.
-
i thought I allready saw a FASA Locknar class model at bcfiles. if there is, it's probably really old.
-
I completely agree with Dalek. Also, see if you can get Genty's permission to use his TOS bussards. In my opinion, they're the best out there.
-
Here is the schematic for the Loknar I was working off of. Nacelles look pretty high up. I could reduce angle of the pylons.
The Loknar on BCFiles is a TMP version.
-
no it looks like you've got it matched pretty good.
-
The angle of the warp pylons are fine. They are just a bit too think near the point where they meet the secondary hull though.

Agreed, other than that it looks great.
-
They may match up with the schematics, but I still think they look awkward so high up.

guys, I think he's trying to actually match the FASA schematics, not just make something that resembles the loknar.
-
Here is an update. Made the pylons thinner and lessened the rake where they meet the secondary hull. Also lowered the nacelles.
Aces, thanks, you are correct, my goal is to match the scematics.

Here she is in-game.

You should completely get rid of the blue part on the warp engines, or at least, tone down the brightness a little. Looks weird with it. It wasn't even there in the original series.
-
Looks good...me personally i agree about the blue glow..but i can get rid of it on my own...and the spot light on the top saucer section...but again i can do away with it myself..but maybe you could release two texture versions...the way you have it and maybe something more 'canon' like :P
-
Ok, removed the Blue and the glow from the warp engines.

The Loknar itself "wasn't even there in the original series" :P
Artistic license, ever heard of that? I thought it looked okay with the blue glow. Guess i'll just do a texture modification after it's been released.

TOS nacelles never had a blue glow in the original series. Thats the point I was making.

I like it!!! :P whats the poly count on that bad boy?
-
Poly count is 5962

Ever saw DS9 "Trials of Trible-ations"?

Yes The Enterprise did have blue glows, and in remastered I thought it had them to

Ultimately, it doesn't matter. Its GMunoz mod so we shouldn't dictate if TOS nacelles have a blue warp-field glow.
