Title: Photon torpedos

Are the torpedos in-game 3d models or sprites or something?
I have been trying to make one for my recreation of the Battle of Wolf 359 addon for Celestia and I just can't get it to look right.

they are sprites called on by 3d models

With the Solid Projectiles script included in FTech (http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/FTech_Foundation_Technologies_;84343) it's possible to use 3D models instead.
