Which in your collective opinions is the best Vorcha mod out there? One that damages well and is the most accurate.
Also, on a completely different subject, can anyone recommend (or maybe even post a thread) a good tutorial of how to create registry spotlights using Photoshop?
I've tried to do it but whenever I go to the alpha channel for a texture and attempt to apply a spotlight filter, it is grayed out and won't allow me to do it. When I go back to the actual texture, then it allows it.

Well quality wise Lint's can't be beat - however it has damaging issues and is a little high-poly I believe. I use the Bortas from the Vor'cha pack as my default Vor'cha. If you don't like that one, the one in the Aftermath pack is a good one too. Links below:

one of the best spotmakers I've seen is wiley. when I asked baz how HE did them, he gave me a complicated routine involving the textures being partially made with max. if your spot problem is the same as mine with Paintshop (which does the same thing, greys out everything BUT the area under the spot), then I know exactly where your coming from. i wouldn't mind a "dummies/idiot's" format tutorial for spots.

Lint's, for sure. I don't care if it doesn't damage, it's just so damn purdy.

Thanks all for the advice so far.
I know that Lint's is awesome... but I do care if it damages well. I'm familiar with the Vorcha Pack but I'm not interested in downloading a whole pack. I just want one, real nice Vorcha.
I PM'd Lint a long time ago regarding a "version 2" of his Vorcha and he informed me that it was definitely in the works and soon to be released. But, so far nothing. Don't get me wrong, I'm not at all complaining. All the modders in this community are fantastic for just creating/releasing their mods in the first place.
As far as the spotlight tutorial goes... maybe someone will pipe up with some advice on how to do one ;)

All ships should damage well if you delete the vox nif after/if the ship initially doesn't damage right.
(that is if they aren't extremely large)

They should - but that's not always the case. Some mesh's aren't made properly and damaging becomes an issue, even after deleting the original VOX files (for example P81's Nebula or Ambassador).

heh true... *remembers deflector issue*

That's disappointing. I loved his stuff. Always really high quality.
