Hi guys as the it says , iam a NOOB to bridge commander. I love the game and have been playing it for a few weeks now and want to mod it. at least ad a constitution class or a different bridge. I know legacy is far far far far different but that is the only game i had any luck modding. I have downloaded a "how to 101" on BC modding and it was no help! ive downloaded BCMI, and BCMP and even tried Universal tool V1.2 which i noticed no effect, as well as tryed the patch 1.1 which was a dead end because a message box popped up saying a valid installation of BC could not be found. . I have the kobyashi maru 1.0 download on standby i dont know how to use it. I dont know what else to try people im doing everything by the book! :banghead: its really frustrating and i cant even figure out how to change or turn on mutators, ive yet to find that option box in the game that it describes in instructions. I dont mean to be a NOOB but please any help would be greatly appreciated! please! I have an xp 2005 operating system dell desktop plenty of memory, i have winrar as well i just dont understand what im doing wrong . please any help thanks!

Alright dude, I got a few pages here from the BC Wiki that may help you out:
http://bridgecommander.wikidot.com/getting-started-with-a-custom-install
http://bridgecommander.wikidot.com/single-player-modding
http://bridgecommander.wikidot.com/kobayashi-maru-install-guide
Check those pages out and see if they help you out a bit. If not we're still here :)
Also get rid of BCMI and BCMP, they're old and out of date. Stick with BCUT and you'll be fine.

Do you have a legitimate CD and not a version downloaded from a 3rd party site?

After reading above links, and if your still stuck, you should write down in point form what you want so we can answer the questions. You'll find that this is one of the best forum you'll find around and asking the right questions will get lots of help. That being said, Welcome to BC and i hope to see your mods.

to start with, the very first thing you need to install is the 1.1 patch, if that was a "Dead end" you have a problem, because you can't install anything else without it.
