Title: CSS map
Post by: FarShot on August 02, 2011, 08:50:07 PM
Anyone ever play the first Counter-Strike?  My favorite map was rescuing hostages from a terrorist-held 747.  When Counter-Strike Source rolled around, I was upset that they didn't remake it.  Someone ported it over, but it's just a port - graphics are just as bad and the 747 is way inaccurate.

So I decided I'd remake it myself.  Be warned, it's more of a re-imagining then a pure remake, so the layout will be slightly altered and of course the graphics will be much better.  If any of you guys have any Hammer experience, I'd appreciate some help.  This'll be my first CSS map, so yeah.

Speaking of improved graphics, I'm currently working on the 747-400.  Here's some pics of the current state of the model and the final concept.

Hammer is the world edit tool for Source engine games.

And by "Widowmaker", do you mean the P-61 Black Widow?  I've no plans of doing any planes for BC anytime soon...

UPDATE:  Sardines in a can. :P

I'm not sure how "I'm making a 747 map for Counter-Strike Source" gets translated into "P-61's" and "Warthogs"... :idk:

sorry, i kinda want to convert a few aircraft models for myself for use and some texturing practice.

are the seats REALLY that packed?  the only plane I was on was an Embrrayer, I think.
