I just got a new system. I need recommendations for how to properly install the mods to avoid crashes.
I want KM, Supermod pack, nanofx 2.0 and the stargate pack.
The system is a 2700k CPU running windows 7 home premium.
I also need Graphic Card settings best for BC for two Nividia 580 GTX
-
start with KM, forget nanofx as KM includes it, then install stargate pack...
i wouldnt advise putting supermod over km, youll likely have issues - tho i cannot be sure as ive never done it...
-
As I am aware you cannot have KM and the supermod combined, not too sure about graphics settings I usually just change them when the situation requires it. On the crashes front thats bound to happen regardless. :funny Also Nano FX comes with KM and the stargate pack as to what I know of can go right over a clean KM install.
Hope this was useful? :)

Stargate Pack is not included with KM...
-
Is this KM patch the full pack?
-
KM 2011.10 is the full mod
-
And can be downloaded from here: http://bckobayashimaru.de/ws/index.php?id=downloads

if you're going stargate, see if you can find the 3.0 version of the pack. there's also a loose version of Discovery and Atlantis floating around.
also, you're gonna need slipstream for them

As far as graphic settings are concerned, with your setup you can run everything at their highest settings.
My system is a bit more powerful than yours and I run everything at the highest available with no problems. I'm sure yours will do the same.

A bit more powrful...
Good Lord what are you running?
-
3930K overclocked to 4.7ghz
2 Radeon 6990's in Crossfire
-
I was supposed to have the 3930k but they don't have it anywhere.
So you really do got me there.
(I just dumped KM into the BC file and nothing happened on boot. What's am I doing wrong?)
-
where did you install BC?? did you install the 1.1 patch?
Also Mods will not work properly if you install BC in the program files folder on Win 7 machines.
-
In Win 7 the install procedure is:
1. Install BC in it's own separate folder outside of Program Files
2. Install 1.1 patch
3. Install KM
Done

It's always something...okay I'm making an Activision/Bridge Commander Folder outside of the Program files folders and giving it another go.

There's a really good list of quality mods stickied here somewhere. After KM and DS9FX maybe too I'd check those out to see if you find anything to your liking :)
