Title: Sovereign 001 TNG / VOY shielding (relook and texture) and suggestions of you!!
Post by: sovereign001 on April 04, 2012, 01:53:36 PM
Hey guys,

Long time i created a mod, so time to get started again while i got some time left.

So i created a few times ago different kind of shields.

The tng shielding from the episodes:

into this for bc:

The more voyager shielding from the episodes:

into this for bc:

The TNG shielding was in my eyes oke. Perhaps a bit bland, and i can perhaps bring some more life in it. So i will have a look at it. But the thing is, the shields in those episodes didn't changed much. So too much in it won't be happening.

The voyager shields however could use some work. The ones i had were oke, but like Mr.Killerewok told me, that there are some black surroundings. So i'll have a look in those, and try to maximize the effect.

DS9 shielding is a bit stupid imo, because there were almost none. I can perhaps create an invisible shield that only explosions occur around the ship.

Any suggestions?

I love the TNG bubble shielding, and wished that larger, more bubbly shielding were available...shielding that is less "localized" like the ones shown in these pics are.

now that you're working on the shielding effetcs, how about tweaking the athmospheric entry effect?

Sweet! I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually! That way I could take a nice shot of destroyed Ent-A burning upon entry..

Atmosphere effect? I'm working on a mac remember, so its not that easy for me to trial and error it.
