Well, this will be my final contribution to the BC community when done. She's what the Desert Rose wa supposed to look like from the start, not the one that got finished (if anyone still remembers that thing anyway). The model is still unfinished, and I don't know how I'll be with time to work on her (my Excal stuff takes precedence over this), this is how she looks like, but I haven't touched the scene in months mind you!
She's roughly over twice the size of the original ship now, but still the Galaxy's smaller sister as I always wanted her to be.

DJ beat you a little to the punch with his Orion and Velox, but I'll be damned if this doesn't look good regardless. And don't beat yourself, Excalibur is a contribution to the BC community. ;)

That's pretty neat lookin Adonis!

I remember the Desert Rose. I still have renders your sent me. Much improved! Love the nacelles.
-
Agreed with everyone, she's a really nice design :)
-
Excellent design but... those winglets on the nacelles are a bit much IMO.

They are?!?
I seem to recall both the Galaxy-X, and the Nova having similar "winglets". Excellent design in any case.

It's no comparison really, this thing is a newer design than both of those ships ;)
Plus I do a lot more in Excal than I can do in BC, this ship will rock in it's engine bigtime compared to in BC. :P

Look at it this way: Those things add to the phaser coverage, sensor coverage and also act as another cooler stage for the warp coils. They aren't there for looks only :D

Adonis again at BCC :yay:
Big improvements to the ship, very nice!

So those aren't like the Dynametric Tail-Finstm? :D
Dynametric Tail-Fins are the property of Tom Paris Piloting Industries, all rights reserved, but only in the Delta Quadrant.

Ok, I can accept that. ;)

In the 3rd image on the OP her back end looks rather similar to this (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/97/Lockheed_SR-71_Blackbird.jpg).
Or am I just going senile in my old age?
-
Nope, not senile, I see it too.
