Title: Windows 8/Bridge Commander

Has anyone tryed to install BC on Windows 8? Think i will try it with the test version and report here...

did that and ..... meh ... reverted back to win 7 on my hp notebook :P it appears that even tho it's latest dv6 series it's combo Intel HD / ATI radeon GFX does not support WIN 8 so I guess that's it for me, my journey with W8 ends on installing hardware :P


also I HATE that new METRO style for start menu ... maybe it's cool for mobile systems but it looses so lame on daily use systems ... might be and most definitely IS a matter of getting used to it but I've grown up on win 95-98 so Start menu for me is the best solution (especially W7 edition)

Since my laptop is going down sooner than later and i still want to play BC (and take screenies) i'm wondering how BC will perform.

I generally agree... but, I'm curious as to how the overall reception for Win 8 will be.  So far I've read quite a few reviews that reflect badly on the new OS.  I have to admit that after playing with it a bit, it does have some cool features, but definitely not enough to make me a full believer.  

There is a Win 7 emulation mode in Win 8 (so the desktop looks like Win 7), but even when running the emulator, there are some dialogue boxes in the GUI that are Win 8 styled.  Also, since the Win 7 running in Win 8 is a shell running in once again, emulation mode, no app that is native to Win 7 will ever run as fast (or I'm sure at times as smoothly) as it would if installed in a true Win 7 machine.

We'll see how Win 8 fares.

WINDOWS 8 FOR KIDS BY KIDS...Looks like someone dropped a fucking box of crayola crayons and said WINDOWS....Keep windows 7 windows 8 sucks

Installed 35 mins later went back to 7 - also alot of games DONT like it, BC / XWING vs TIE / XWING ALLIANCE - even sto had problems lol

Nope jimmy it works for me  :yay:

Just upgraded my small PC to Win 8 (only the trial version for 90 Days). Posted a pic in the screenshot section...
 Maybe i can get used to it (its will take some tho)
