Maybe take a look at Zambie Zan's D7-Pack. I thought its balanced pretty well in itself.

the K'Tinga of him was relatively weak. easily beat with an excelsior, so it might be a little underpowered

Thank you, and thanks to the guys that sent me the info, Im going to try and write up a base sheet to use for my models.

Ok, here is a quick shot of the ventral hull, so you get an idea of the pattern I am using for the wing armor on the belly, as well as the klingon symbol on the bulge. Let me know if you think it works.

BTW: I know that the Klingon symbol is backwards, its already been fixed.

any chance of getting disruptors that fire to the blind spots, namely to the sides of the ship? I've noticed that enemies love to get to the sides of the Klingon ships and use their better firing arcs to weaken the shields..

He brings up a good point, Klingon ships are easy to kill if you broadside them.

Ok, due to popular request I have added a medium range, medium power dual disruptor cannon on the port and starboard sensor cooling towers. This works actually, because this would be one of the reasons this design was so successful compared to the D series...better weapon coverage.

So the port and starboard weapon holes are covered....though not by a super powerful weapon. The weapons are reasonably strong, quick fire and quick charge but range is not extreme, so the enemy still has to be fairly close.

A side note...not sure how the C-9 or E-7 was hardpointed, and if it was hardpointed different than what I am about to disclose, that is noones fault but my own. There are blisters on the hull of the E-7, believe there are ones on the C-9 (I will have to look) and definitely ones on the E-6. The green glowing blisters are for close range defense...they are low power, short range distruptor points, but the special thing about them is that they have a 180 degree firing arc.

They are designed mainly to intercept torpedoes and the like, but can be used for close range fire when needed, though they are not strong by any means.

Just wanted to point that out. There are enough blisters to completely cover the hull with close-range protection.

yeah.  those are all pulse dirruptors.  either that or the AI keeps only using Beam disruptors and focusing on them when I take the E7 out.

well we saw ventral pulse weapons on the neghvar variants of all good things. Not much of a streach.
I just realised something. I've released over 300 fully modded ships for bridge commander. Bow to your master :D

Thanks DJ. I know that you are busy, do I have you lined up for speculars? Either that or if you could just help instruct me on proper specular creation that would be helpful. I never seem to make them right, nor can I find proper tutorials on the net.

Here is the latest, very close to completion now. After a few more texture tweaks its connecting everything, checking for errors and scale the mesh properly, and she will be ready for hardpoints and conversion.
