An STO Ship
« on: March 08, 2014, 01:21:05 PM »
I don't own or play STO however a friend pointed out a cool ship out to me (at least to me) the Avenger Class.

So my question to the community is if anyone is working or has ported this to BC?

To you it's ugly, to me it's great. People's tastes are different all around.

Haven't seen it around so I believe it hasn't been converted no recreated.

Boy I wish it was easy to convert/port them over. I really like the large Tier 5 Feds. The Starcruisers

Well someone here was modeling the Odyssey. I forgot who it was though since it was a while ago.

EDIT: Wiley was building it.

Trust me. Farshot is building it. He has most of it done. I'm not building it, at least not right now.

Most of the ships I have in my list are stuff I have yet to build or rebuild.

I have the ESD Model of the Avenger on my PC, BUT it's only to be used as reference IF and when someone wants to recreate her in BC, so if you require high detail reference images from me or dare i say it the mesh itself as reference please let me know, If i do give you the mesh I DO NOT want to see it straight ported.

Also please don't ask me to get any meshes out of STO because the method I used to use is now broken due to a game patch.

47 ?  :lostit: coincidence ? don't think so  :funny

While I wouldn't call this ship pretty, it's not the ugliest bricks I've ever seen from STO... actually if it had nacelles replaced with something less blugdeon/club shaped it would be quite nice.

On the plus side, atleast they didn't go all "swiss cheese" on the ship, punching it full of holes. The latest "Dyson ships" that they added, all looked pretty decent. Except for the nagging fact that they were all "swisscheesed" by Cryptic. Which seems to be a running design choice by them.

It's a cool ship. I figured as such that it wasn't available as search never returned any results :)

It never hurts to ask though.

Personally, I think the Fed Dysons are god-awful.  The Klingons are decent.  The Romulans though, THOSE are fantastic looking ships.

I agree on the Romulan ship. Except for the swisscheese-effect :)

Nothing, so long as it's not applied to the hull of starships :P

I agree, the romulan dyson boat is fantastic and I'd love to see it in BC so long as the swiss cheese effect was plated over lol.
