Vortex, you are correct about the pylons. It's another design I'll have to see in flight until I truely like it.

A bit of aztec done.

As to the sweep of the pylons, I like it, but I'm open to suggestions on tweaks to the nacelles. I originally had them swept forward which looked pretty cool, but it was a little too post TNG. Have a look at the second picture. From that angle I think it's more apparent why I chose the angle they're at now.

Looking at the first image, it seems to me that the pylons are either too narrow, or the nacelles are. Looks to be a whole lot of empty space back there. Perhaps even due to the very narrow body of the stardrive.

Some ideas, but would require a fair amount of rebuilding. Feel free to disregard

Widened pylons, stardrive, and increased width of nacelles by about 15-20%:

Sorry about starting this and then leaving it. Got the modeling bug so I've picked it up again. I've textured the deflector dish, nacelles glowing bits, and phaser arrays.

Thanks very much, Farshot. It's a shame things have slowed down so much. For my part, I'll see if I can't pick up some steam.

I've done a bit more, actually more than it looks, because the nacelles have been completely mapped out now. Always tricky to line those maps up properly.
