Anything on Quincentennial Mod 2.0?

So, I've been using QM2.0 in place of KM1 and it's been sort of unstable.  Actually, both KM1 and QM2.0 seem to be a bit unstable, but that could be because of the original instability of the game. But I digress.

The problem is that QM2.0 doesn't have the mutators option when it comes to the main menu and that I cannot choose a ship and\or bridge before I embark. 

If there's anyone out there that may have a solution?

I'm not a big user of the QM 2.0 does it throw any console reports?
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.
