Disappearing part syndrome help
« on: June 26, 2017, 10:55:34 AM »
OK! So I have a problem with a conversion I made for BC. Made ok by FOAS, I converted one of his ships as a test in BC, which plays very well so far, with the exception that I did some scaling inside NifSkope for a slight resize.
Well, as it turns out, when the ship gets severely damaged, the saucer disappears. Anyone know how to fix this? I deleted the vox and scripts/ships pyc but it really does not help at all.

Isn't that what happens if the model is not a unified mesh, but the saucer in this case is its own vertex group?
If so, there is nothing you could do, except trying to unify the model yourself.

I assume the same thing happens to the unscaled version.

I guess I might have no choice but to unify the model itself huh?
EDIT: Turns out the model was not unified. Who would have thought BC would have such a bothersome problem with separated meshes.
Thanks guys :D
