Krakow Class in IDW Star Trek comic
« on: August 07, 2018, 01:03:58 AM »
I was looking at Issue 1 of the Star Trek: Terra Incognita comic from IDW, and I noticed this ship:

In the comic, it is supposed to be the USS Hood, but we know it as the Krakow class from Bridge Commander: https://www.nexusmods.com/startrekbridgecommmander/mods/2805

Only thing I can think of is that the artist googled Excelsior refit and used it.

If you search Excelsior Refit, that design does show up for some results.

So what? Using someone else's artwork without their permission is still plagiarism and liable to a lawsuit. Just because CBS can and does steal from their fanbase, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. Big corporations love to steal from their fans, and then expect the same fans to keep funding their sub-standard trash.

I never said what they did wasn't wrong. Way to jump to conclusions. Jesus man.

The Terra Incognita comic is a pretty damn good comic though, writing wise.
