The legendary Star Trek writer D.C. Fontana, who also worked as consultant on Bridge Commander, has passed away.

D.C. has more than just Trek credits under her belt.  you'll find she has written for other shows as well.   She has Transformers credits, and I believe a couple for Gargoyles.

Her TOS novel is worth a read, especially if you want a peek into pre Disco Captain Pike.
