2 Problems
« on: April 23, 2007, 07:48:52 AM »
1. It seems I cant save more then 159 screenshots. Is there a way to break this limit without me making a new screen shots folder?

2. This only happens when at red alert on any bridge. Im not sure how to explain it so here it goes. When at red alert, my game freezes up for 1 second then runs fine then freezes up for one second again. This keeps happening until I go back to green alert where there is no game freezing at all. Its not a major problem but it is irritating when you are having large fleet battles. Is there a way to fix it? Console report included.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

If there is a limit (aparantly) then it would appear you can't avoid it. :(

About the second one, ask on the BCS:TNG forums.
It's something todo with the mod you're beta testing. ;)

Are you sure it couldnt be a BP problem? It does say 'WARNING custom animation: data/animations/bp/alert2.NIF failed to load' in the screen, as well as it saying that for alert1.NIF.  Ive uploaded this screenshot to BCS and Sovvie said his beta mod is nothing to do with it. Unless in this case 'bp' stands for something other then Bridge Plugin in this screenshot. I have been wrong before so sorry if I am wrong about this.

I have BPGold by the way (well, the beta that is  :) )

It's just a warning.
I've put that in delibratly so when a nif animations wasn't loaded the bridge modders would know.

It doesn't have any other functional impact.
In this case, the console on the intrepid wouldn't have worked. That's as far as it goes.
This case has been tested, and it's harmless, BC-wise that is.

DS9FX has a memory cleaner for BC, and on my install it creates hick ups.

lol, it might just be the nearly constant saving of the console.

What system specs do you have?

That shouldn't be a problem then.

The only other reason why it could give hickups at Red Alert is if you installed the original beta of BPCore.... Nearly a year ago.

Try disabling animated maps in the BP Config.

If you are having a problem saving screenshots, although you shouldn't be, try cleaning it out every once and a while, or .zipping up the old ones every so often.

now there is something new. A limit to the screenshots you can take.

Yeah, it's new.

The theoretical limit is 1000 screenshots (from 000 to 999).

Well I dont know what to tell you guys but it refuses to let me save more then 159 screenshots.

Please dont say it might be a Vista related issue since I dont have Vista anymore. (Made me sick, so formatted my harddrive and went back to XP Home).

Maybe you could try renaming a few of the screenshots, that should allow you to take more pics!?
