wow all those chairs look funny lol

ok just tried it out the higher poly, and there was no real lag or issues on my end...  midway thru a QB battle it started to lag just slightly, as my and the enemy ship took on damage and such, but other than that it was pretty much playable :)
i expected like major lag or long loading time, but it wasnt really the case with all the extra chairs...

add another dozen!  let's push it into the wall!  :D

I got a very small amount of lag but nothing utterly horrible on my PC, only thing noticible was a slight increase in loading time but then again nothing to worry about. :D

Gave her a whirl again, still nothing really noticable.  Seems promising... and here I was thinking it was about time to upgrade the old beast. ;)

I would test it, but my BC install is all messed up atm (see my tech support thread on BCU).  Once that's resolved, I'll happily give you feedback.

Maybe it would help if you guys said waht resalution you were running at?

I run at 1280x1024 i got a slight 5-6 fps drop, bit not noticable on the lower poly one and a 7-9 fps drop on the one with the chairs on the ceiling.

Radeon x700pro 256mb
pentiume 4 3.1 GHZ (or 3.01)

no that wouldnt help at all, the point of this is to see how it affects your game play... if we tell you to tune down your settings then we're not finding that out are we.

i tested mine at 1600x1200 with 8x antialiasing and 4xAF because thats what i normally play at, and i wouldnt want to have to drop those settings for a mod.

Ran it again with the higher model and the same specifications mentioned in my last post.  No discernable difference; ran like it usually does on that bridge.

I must say that some recent mod (either to the game, or my system) has had a very negative effect on BC's performance on my system. However:

20k model on a 2.6ghz intel pentium 4 with 1280mbs of ram and a radeon 9600 128mb graphics card.
~20fps, significantly lower if the viewscreen is visible.
The regular Abridge runs at about 25fps.

EDIT: and a suggestion: slap a  "Variable Gravity Environment" sticker on the wall like in the shuttle bay of the enterprise-d, for the laugh. this is a very funny bridge!

Klingon Academy now works on XP/Vista/Win 7 thanks to one dude's patches, click here for details. I highly recommend it!

works great
i noticed litttle change and if their was any it was when  first viewing the bridge.

Inspiron e1505
1.6 Centrino Duo
1 gig of ram shared
1280 * 800

Btw this laptop runs BC VERY well!

Not to resurrect old threads but it worked Great no slow downs and didn't notice anything but bigger chairs.
Ran several battles on high color, 1024x768 res with 15 ships fighting around a starbase using the kobayashi maru mod.

My specs -
AMD ATHLON 2.8GHz
RAM: 2.0GHZ DDR3
VIDEO: NVIDIA GEFORCE 6600GT GDDR3 256MB GPU

Hope that helps.

no lag here, I have a fairly new comp though
Pentium D Dual core 32
1 GB DDR2 RAM+4gb VRAM
GForce 7600
settings maxed out at 1280x1024 res High Color depth, graphics card in T&L mode, no mipmaps, AA on 6x. etc.

The chairs looked nice on that bridge, I wouldn't mind seeing an Ent A bridge with those chairs instead of all the regular ones.
