Venting Plasma at Red Alert

I've got a rather unusual problem. Whenever I start quickbattle my ship is at red alert as it should be. But I get warning messages fromt he ship's computer that the core is about to breach and it begins venting plasma from the nacells. It is like it gets caught in a loop because the message keeps playing on top of itself and begins slowing down the game.

The only way to make it stop is to go to green or yellow alert. Even then, I have to wait for the ship to finishing venting before I can do anything due to computer lag. I also cannot go back to red alert as it starts all over again.

The last mod I installed was the new TMP USS Constitution. I've got DS9FX, GravityFX, MVAM, NanoFX, ATP, among others. Any thoughts?

Does it happen to a particular ship? Or to all ships?
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

All of them I've tested so far. I just noticed also that it happens to any other ships on the map as well when they first appear.

I have the same issue but only when playing with Late TNG Galaxy bridge and latest BP core when going to red alert ship keeps venting plasma and after few secs I have nice slideshow if lagging BC :x

I had an unrelated, but equally weird problem when I installed the TMP constitution, http://bc-central.net/forums/index.php/topic,1364.0.htm, it was fixed when I redid the ships plugin file.  there may be something wrong with the ship

 I have never had this problem, and I have used all the above mentioned mods, mind I did keep the TMP connie out until I knew a way to fix it.

You know, I tried changing my bridge the last time I went into quick battle (to the intrepid) and I didn't have this problem when I went to red alert. The funny thing is I still had the problem when I used the tractor beam. Anyone have any ideas? Is there a BP core issue that anyone knows of??

I tried running a console report and nothing came up.

Which Plasma Venting mod are you using?

In which case, disable it immediately. It's bugged as hell.

same here mine vents plasma only on galaxy bridge and when tractor beam is used by any ship in quick battle even in ships controlled by AI

i dont think there is such a mod that comes with KM?  unless you mean KM1.0, which has BCS's The Beginning Mod?

Vent Plasma is a mod that allows you to vent plasma at will.

the most recent "Vent Plasma" mod is in BCS:TB (which is actually "Targetable Plasma Streams") - is not included in KM 0.9, but is included in 1.0...  NanoFX is in KM 0.9, but NanoFX and plasma venting are seperate mods...

oops sorry my foult i'm using BCS vent plasma and i never installed any vent plasma related mod only KM 0.9 ,BCS TNG and DS9FX but now I've reinstalled BP Core and BCS and it works fine except for tractors

 I have all what you just put and about 30x more and mine works strange... perhaps its the order your installed it and something key was misplaced or overwritten? I usualy installed KM then its patch then BCS and then DS9 then ships, bridges, background and eye candy etc.

Sorry Mleo, work has kept me busy. Yes, the one that I'm using is yours and it gives the options of "Vent Plasma" and "Vent Plasma from all ships" in the mutator menus.

To answer your question about the console report...I can get the report, but all is well. The only error that came up is concerning a quantum torpedo that I haven't put in correctly yet, but it hasn't interrupted the rest of the gameplay so far.

The BCSTB plasma mod I believe is only for targetable plasma streams.

Mleo, I recently downloaded a new plasma texture and threw it in. http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Plasma_venting;10148

Is there some kind of incompatibility do you think?

The only thing I'm concerned about is the fact that I've disabled the plasma venting from the mutators before and it had no effect. Perhaps I should have disabled them and quit the game before going back in and trying it?

Thoughts?

well, not entirely...  ya, you can target the streams, but plasma will vent (usually) when the ship starts taking on heavy damage... you dont need MLeo's Vent Plasma mod for the TPS mod to function...

do you have both mods installed?  i wonder, if so, the both together could be causing some conflict?
