Well if we're talking about the Kessel Run, the reason it's parsecs is because the Maw is full of black holes - the shortest route is by no means the safest. Han Solo evidently was bragging about being able to take a short route without getting yanked into a black hole. That's the "woops, we better cover our asses with some clever explanation" story anyways.

That last shot from McKinney used the Larson Class starship.

It was made from a direct request of me to GMunoz which graciously complied to make it. It's always been one of my favorite TOS era ships. I used to play with it in the old FASA Star Trek board game.
