LifePod Interior
« on: June 20, 2007, 07:03:19 PM »
Im doing this one because it should be pretty quick and simple and it should also mean we have a bridge to swap to when you abandon ship.. the following is about 4hrs work, I am still planning to make one or two changes before starting to LM.

Thanks to SevenOfNine from the EF2 community for the furniture :).

Looks amazing Mark.
My only complain is that you should have some metal floor instead of carpet.

I suppose it could double as a shuttle bridge. Well done so far.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

I love it!

I have downloded the latest abandon ship mod and I have a few questions:

- will this mod have its own script files or is this just an addition to the existing mod
- will there be a new model of the Galaxy escape pod as well - I remember the Galaxy escape  pods in the old mod looked a bit like a latern with big red dots on the sides.
- how will the bridge be changed ingame - will there be a another loading screen once you give abandoning order or does the bridge change occur flawlessly

Looking forward to this

this isnt a mod, its a bridge that others can script into the abandon ship mod if they want.

I have added a pic of a miranda class escape pod interior
its from DS9 The Fallen
It?s not very detailed but you get the basic idea.

Mark did you use canon material for your lifepod interiors?
I can?t remeber an episode which featured one...

as I recall we get to see some of the inside of a Miranda pod in Emissary, But apparently they were a reuse of the runabout set that is introduced later in that episode.  also we see part of the inside of an Intrepid pod in Year of Hell

how about adding a mobile subspace distress beacon to the interior of the escape pod?
I think every lifeboat was equipped with one

not to rain on your prarade or anything, but neiter a game is canon, nor has this 'subspace distress beacon' of yours any function in-game except taling up polies and memory.
I. for one, am quite satisfies with Mark's model and am looking forward to seeing it in-game. Wheter it will be scripted into the abandon ship mod or not.

'nuff said.

Don't get me wrong - this was just a proposal.
I am satisfied with Mark's work as well and am looking forward to it.

OK, i started it again, and then started it again and Im now at a more circular design which is much larger. The plan is to add a small medical area, on the port side of the module, a helm station in the centre, and then the forward and starboard areas are for seating.

1508 polies right now if anyones wondering

You kept the old concept, didn't you? it can surely work for a shuttle of some sort.
