USS Explorer Nebula Class Bridge Retexture
« on: August 10, 2006, 03:48:49 PM »
Righty o people, since I have no fancy modding programs of any kind, the only way I can do anything for BC is to do crappy retextures of everything (It's damn annoying!!). :x

Anyways I've been working on a retexture for the stock Nebula Class Bridge, as it stands this is 'almost' ready for release but I want to know if I can improve on this in any way.
Can I have opinions both good and bad, all feedback is appreciated!! :D

Looks good, only thing I would say is turn the brightness down a bit on the LCARS, I'm sure they should be a bit more muted than that.

to reply to your comment about only being able to retexture existing stuff... 1 thats where i started out and your retexture is far higher quality than mine were... and 2 were current expecting at least 3 releases in the near future.. 2 ambassadors and 1 promethus bridge... im sure people will want to retexture them sometime in the future

Looks good!

Are you considering using BP features?
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

That looks really good, i remember Mark mentioning that those aft consoles need remapping, lots of repeating and upside-down LCARS shows.

But these are spectacular...

I'm afraid I've not looked into the scripting of BP Core much so I dont plan on using BP features in this release. I would need serious help with getting into BP but if you or anyone is willing perhaps we could collaborate!?
As it stand the original Nebula Bridge works with BP Core installed, so there would'nt be a problem playing it.

PS - stay tuned, update on the way!!

UPDATE - Just finished working on the Lcars screens, I've dimmed them a little bit, you guys let me know if they are still too bright!?. The lightmaps on the helm and carpets have also been worked as have the viewscreen blinkies. :D

If you name something you want, then I'll tell you if it's possible and how to do it.

Looks better mate, but its still too bright, if you look at the aft bank of consoles its almost dazzling, should be a lot more muted.

Looks fine to me , can't ask for to much from just a retexture :)

:?:  I'm not talking about changing the bridge model, so adjusting the LCARS brightness (which is part of the retexture) isn't too much.

I'm sure Cpt Elgy would like to get it as good as he can.

Another update people.

Dimmed the Lcars once again, hope I've got it cracked this time!!. I've also altered the colour of the walls making them a little brighter, looked a bit too dingy for a Starfleet Bridge. Decals and a few new panels have been added to the Helm and Ops stations as well as the doors. The Red Alert lights have been changed, and the Viewscreen Blinkies have been resized and retextured as well.

Feedback please folks, good and bad!! :D
