hm the red carpet ? this bridge was meant to recreate generations as much as possible including guest chairs and red carpet :)

I hope Mark will find some spare time to add some chairs  :D

I'm afraid its a busy weekend this weekend - and i already have a lot of tasks for Excalibur that need finishing.

I like what you have done a lot, I think its just about as good as you can get with a re-texture.

Very cool. Although, I also think that the red carpet should go since it was only put down for when the guests of honor (Kirk, Chekov and Scotty) arrived. Meaning that, it wasnt a permanent feature.

No not permanent , but part of the bridge as we saw it , on screen

You might be able to separate out the existing chairs using NIFskope. Then just clone them, reposition and remerge... not sure if NIFskope can do that though...

Klingon Academy now works on XP/Vista/Win 7 thanks to one dude's patches, click here for details. I highly recommend it!

Chair animations wouldnt work if you did that - objects cannot be replaced and anchor points cannot be edited, at least not without making a new anim.

It is a good day to revive an old thread :D
As I successfully passed all my exams I can restart works on my projects and here are some results :
-All displays are animated and finished
-Doors are now proper colored and signs are resized
-carpet texture is now cleaner

I have some overkill textures like 2048x4096 but that's only for two LCARS maps and will be released as ULTRA HIGH res upgrade only so no worries :D I'll release it with standard 1024x2048 maps the rest is also around 1024 or 2048 so expect clear and nice quality textures.

still I need to :
-change control pads all over the bridge as they are old and fitted for Ent-A not Ent-B
-add blinkers under the viewscreen
-make some custome sounds (red alert was similiar to voyagers horn tho it was a little different :D )
-post it on BCFiles and finally let you enjoy it :P

here's few pics

NICE work! :D Hey, with regards to the alert klaxons, perhap you could look up that one voyager episode where Tuvok had his memory bein' played with by that Virus and we went back in time to the Excelsior! I LOVED that ep, and I recall a REALLY cool alert klaxon being used in that ep! :D Perhaps that particular klaxon should be for yellow alert, though, rather than red. Since, in my humble opinion, it would be more cannon to go with what's seen in the movies than the show... though since we never saw the Excelsior at yellow alert in the movies, you've got a little bit of room for some fun, methinks. :)

This is SO cool. Best of luck!

Glad you like it :D

As for those alerts, I can't recall which episode was that I only remember flashback with excelsior tho not muxh rly :( I'll have to check it out soon as my friend have all VOY seasons :D I wanted to make something like a kind of trasition from TMP to early TNG to show that TMP era is at it's end with this ship so definitly no TMP klaxons like on ENT-A bridge... so this would suit tho I need to find that ep first, as you said I've got a little bit room for some fun here and I'm about to use it :D just like on early TMP miranda bridge.

stay tuned for next updates as I'm planning to finish up thi one pretty soon :D

the alert klaxon is almost exactly like the one used in Voyager, just a little higher in pitch...  (if i recall correctly)
with Audacity (free program), you could use the Voyager one and shift up the pitch just a little bit...

as far as that Tuvok episode, that was aboard the USS Excelsior and this is a bridge for the Enterprise...  it is possible those two ships had different alert klaxons..

Actually, here you go.

&feature=related

it's split into five parts. I think parts 3-4 have the most scenes on board the excelsior. I just listened to the klaxons in that ep, and I really like it. (You'll also notice that TMP ships do seem to, in fact, have skin shields... just a side-note, though completely irrelevant here. ;))

yes, but this is for the Enterprise-B and not the Excelsior...
different bridges...  different klaxons it would seem...

Yeah, I know. Just a thought, anyways... we never did hear the yellow alert klaxon for either. Assuming they even had them. Again, just an idea. :)

i agree that the klaxon in that episode is pretty cool...  but to manufacture that sound might be a little difficult since (as far as i know) it can't be found anywhere except in that episode and then there is all the background noise and all that stuff to filter out...  just sounds like a major process/headache...  of course, i hope i am wrong in that perhaps that sound file is available somewhere by itself...

the Voyager-like one, a few pitches higher (as heard in Generations) would be much much easier to do...  i might even be able to see if i can put it together later on today actually...

Well I think Jimmy has a good point here as the main point of this mod is to bring ENT-B as much canon as it is possible to BC and I agree about that klaxon it's rly cool tho I'll leave red alert as it was in Generations and I will try to make similiar sound from flashback for yellow alert klaxon in BC :D If I'll be successful then you'll be forced to use more yellow alert than red :P

indeed it would be pain in a$$ to make that sound :(
although the one from GEN is like you said just a few pitches higher (couldn't find that word :D thx Jimmy :D ) and so easy to achieve but I'll try the harder way first ;)

actually - i just put in the Generations DVD and made the Voyager alert klaxon exactly the pitch as it is heard in Generations...
it was very easy - all i did was take the Voyager alert and up the pitch by 20%, and listened to it side by side with the DVD and it is pretty much exact...  (im assuming thats all they did when they made Generations, just took the Voyager alert and increased the pitch a bit...)
please feel free to compare this yourself to the DVD; of course, if it is slightly off, it can be further tweaked but i think it is pretty much exactly as heard in the DVD :D

and please feel free to incorporate this into the bridge if youd like :)

the only thing i might be slightly off on is the duration of the actual alert klaxon and the duration of the space between the klaxons...  but they seem pretty much spot-on i think...   lemme know tho - i can tweak it further :)
and this alert i threw together is 10 klaxons long, of course that can be cut in half or whatever lol
