Good news indeed. I'm interested to find out what the 3rd series will be about. We know that they are planning on making two SG1 movies: One involving the Ori, and one involving timetravel. I'd like for either the SG1 or Atlantis series to offshoot into this third series and bring over 1 or more familiar face from a past show (O'Neill comes to mind

).

they're still on in canada, Atlantis doesn't take the mid season break, which means episode 16 just aired. And if it's on in Canada, it means it's available bu "other" means ;)

Saw the episode. Although I heard the actor was leaving the show, I never thought they would actually kill the character off. I thought it would be that they either left the expedtion, or was "lost" on a mission. The writers actually suggested a while back, that the character would remain alive, so that was sort of a shock seeing him/her get killed off like that. Although he/she did get a fitting ending, I grant you that. Fits well with the character.

Yeah poor thing... could see it coming just before it happened. It was nice in the final scene, Rodney imagining talking to the departed.

To ascend, the person would have to actively want to ascend. Since the death of this character happened so suddenly, I doubt he/she had the time to even think about ascension. Granted, it is possible that the character ascended somehow, and thus could come back at a later show if he/she chooses to retake human form.

Ya poor fucker.

I just watched the new episodes of SG1 "the Shroud" and SGA "Vangance" and all i ahve to say is wow, great viewing.

Vengance introduces us to some pretty gruesome new enemies.... kinda creepy.

As for The Shroud.... Wow, I think the last time my heart was beating that fasr was for Ressurection Ship in BSG. I could litterally feel it in my chest...
