Though I am not sure what is involved in beta testing (other than playing as and against the ship taking note of any bugs including model problems, damage problems, stability, how well it works on my nearly low end system, HP errors, texture errors...etc etc) I would love to learn how to beta test and start with this mod.

I have been following its development since the BCU forums introduction and I would love to see it to the end.

PM me or email me at startrekmike@gmail.com if it is even possible.

Well if you need more testers I mite be able.
same here
I also have time to do testing.
In my opinion your TOS models are better than the TOS-Remastered ones, Phaser.

LOL Thanks.  Mine don't even come close in terms of model detail, but I feel I got the textures right (people constantly underestimate the amount of non-physical detail in TOS ships (a.k.a. textures), which is why so many fall short).

As for updates, I've been struggling to get that work-intensive detail I mentioned earlier incorporated into the mod.  I know someone who can help me, though (I just need to catch him online).

Thanks for the offers to be testers, guys.  I'll be contacting some of you (and to those I said I'd contact but still haven't, I apologize.  My internet has been having issues recently, but it's fixed now.)

No real update today, guys.  I just wanted to let you know what's up, out of respect:

Not much has happened since the last update, unfortunately.  The only major item is that I have overhauled the hardpoint of the D7 in order to make it a match for the Constitution.  It's not perfect, but it's a heck of a lot better.

There's really only one thing left before the mod is finished--that "minor" tweak I was talking about a couple posts ago.  I'm still having difficulties with it.  The tweak is the addition of animated navigational lights.  With a lot of help from genty (again, thank you so much!), they now work properly in-game.  The issue is getting the timing right.  The animation works at about half the speed that it should.  It sounds simple to fix, but believe me, it's extremely difficult given the fact that BC doesn't seem to accept any changes made to the cycle time--30 frames is the default, and BC seems to ignore any changes made to that length.  If anyone knows a way around this or is very familiar with animations, please contact me on MSN.  I've been trying to catch genty on MSN for the last week or so, but haven't seen him yet.  So genty, if you read this, catch me on MSN!  I'm usually on after 18:00 (6:00PM) GMT.

That's all for now, guys.

I'm normally on later than that. I'll try and get on then tomorrow and see if I can help. Just remember that when you change the timing you have to change it in both the diffuse and opacity channels.

Quick update:

Thanks to genty, the navigation light animations now work! :dance

I only have two ships left that need the animations added to them.  After that, I just need to double-check a couple things and get feedback from the beta testers (you guys know you don't have to wait for me to ask before giving feedback, right?  It's been a bit quiet recently...).

A quick note to Mark:  I made a new icon for the exe with which I'm very happy! :D

Oh, and one other thing, guys:  This mod has been a WIP for over two years, now, and I'm sick of having it hanging over my head, and I'm sure you guys are sick of waiting.  Therefore, I'm aiming to have this mod released by the end of the year.  No promises, of course, but that's my goal.

Later, all!

Oh my God.  I poor thread!  Page 2?!!  What have I done?!

I'm so sorry for the lack of updates, guys.  And I apologize for falling through with my new year release date (but hey, I said 'no promises'!).  BUT, you'll all be happy to know that TCMP v1.0 is now complete!  All I have to do now is install it and make sure everything works all right, and it'll be uploaded to BCFiles.com!!!

Thanks to those who stuck with this mod, and thanks to all those who have contributed (I've listed all of you in the readme)!

Ha!  So it does!  I made a change to that texture a while ago (which didn't go out to the testers--oops!) using the Enterprise's texture as a base, but I guess I forgot to update the registry!  Thanks eclipse74569!  (I swear,  I didn't touch anything else after giving it to the testers!)

Thanks, DJ.  And sorry I didn't get around to making you a beta tester.

EDIT:
'Fixed' the images (Photoshop ftw!).  No worries, though:  I fixed the texture.  I just didn't want to have to remake those images. :P

EDIT #2::
Just to be clear, TCMP will be released some time in the next week (most likely this weekend, February 23rd/24th).  :D

Man, now I have to choose between yours and lint's? Better yet, I'll take both, and pit them against each other in an epic TOS battle. :D
