Condition Blue
« on: January 15, 2008, 08:27:55 PM »
Well, BPCore Gold is supposed to finally enable MVAM maps for us. But I have cloaked, separated, scoured every command menu and I can't find any way to engage Blue Alert.

Is there something in the plugin I must have missed? I can't even enjoy the Blue maps on my own bridge.

Only the Galaxy class (the one that comes with BPCore) and the Prometheus bridge has these abilities. Remember, bridges need to be scripted with support for it.

Didn't they entered "Grey mode" for that?

Anyway, Prometheus' blue mode wasn't actually named that way by the writers, but the bridge turned mostly blue, so fans called it that. In the code it's actually called "MVAMMaps".

actually, he is correct...  it went to blue alert for landing...  prommie went to blue alert for mvam...  galaxy went to blue alert once in TNG, when Data took over the bridge and shut down life support...
those were the only 3 instances where a blue alert was shown...
(sorry to go offtopic for a bit there...)

What do I have to do to engage them? Just cloak or MVAM?

I will also assume MVAM maps don't work on the Galaxy Refit bridge.

Just engage MVAM when using the Galaxy or Prometheus bridge, the lights will switch from red to blue

Incorrect Jimmy.
The defiant also went to Blue Alert in 'The Search pt1' when it engaged its cloaking device.

Right, lets put it like this:
If you are playing a bridge which has MVAMMaps configured for it, it will do its bit (as configured, turn blue, black, white, yellow, purple with pink dots, *anything*) on Seperation, untill you reintegrate.

If you are playing a bridge which has CloakingMaps configured for it, it will do its bit when cloaking and decloaking.
