Multiple damage effects. Possible???
« on: May 22, 2008, 09:40:13 AM »
Hi as you may know there's been 2 really cool damage effects released on BC files in the last week. The JLS Federation Damage Effects and Flux Capacitors Realistic Damage Effects.

What I would like is to have both of them working at the same time. In other words I mean parts of the ship will contain JLS effects and other parts would show Flux Capacitors.

Or instead, how about they start off with JLS and by the time the ship reaches a certain amount of damage (say 60% Hull Damage) it would switch to Flux Capacitors.

Even better would be to combine both ideas but I don't even know if any of them could work. What do you guys think?

Well, animated maps can't be swapped out at the very least (atleast, not permanent, since as soon as the swapped frame is supposed to re-appear it does).

You can try it with static images though (burns?).

I'll try something later today.
Though I believe it didn't work. :(
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

Well at least it may be possible  :) If it's not though, would it be possible to assign certain damage effects to certain ships?

I know, I said all those things, remember. ;)

I just had an idea that could, possibly, work (though nearly certain it won't :( ).

You know, it would have helped if I knew what textures were involved. :S

Could you give me a rundown (except for damage1-4 I've guessed those :P)?
