Problems with instalation

I have been having problems with the actual installation of the game as whenever i load the installation sequence it says there has been an error with the data transfer of "smallanimations" and then shuts down the installer. Im not very good with computers , so can anyone help me out many thanks :)


the  alert says error in data transfere -117

D:\Setup\scripts\bridge\characters\smallanimations.pyc

Try cleaning your BC disc. Warm soapy water should get any marks off. Don't use abrasives tho.

I have washed the disk and now whenever it gets to 65% loading it freezes and crashes.

anyone got any pearls of wisdom?

Try copying all files from the disk to a directory on your HDD, if that works, then something else is amiss, but I currently fear either the disk is too badly scratched, or part of your hardware is dieing.

If it does manage to copy everything, then keep the disk in your Disk Drive, and run the Autorun.exe.
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

Run a scandisk on your D drive too.

Open a Command Prompt and type
Code: [Select]
chkdsk D: /f /r
