I've gotta track down more pics. And the warp engines look a bit too big, even for the UJJ Enterprise. Mind you, moving them closer together might help. Brilliant job Wiley! You contine to amaze us.

P.S. I know this seems off topic, but i've finally figured Wileys signature! I thought it was some sort of...thing.

Here's an updated frontish view.  I have curved the pylons, and moved the nacelles a little closer together.  If I move them even closer, it would look ridiculous.

Mmm, maybe bring the warpies further up? And I dont remeber the pylons being that bent. Of course, it may just be bad memory. Ill go check.

OK, forget what i said, it just might be the angle of this pic. If you could somehow recreate the angle in Muffin's second pic? I might be able to do a proper confirmation. :D

Hm...this'll probably be easier to tell when the trailer's released in HD.  Poorly recorded YouTube video does not good reference make.

OK, reality comes first always. Despite the shear ugliness of the UJJ Enterprise, I find myself wanting to fly this behemoth. Thats the one thing I noticed about this. It looks like it fills up the job of the TOS heavy cruiser.

How i feel. I really want her. What I find ironic is that Wiley might complete the UJJ before the film even comes out.

Well, Wiley's not in any hurry, and neither is Paramount.

And guys, the secondary hull doesn't look to be any further forward than it should be as far as the neck of the ship is concerned.  The saucer is just a bit further back.  The secondary hull is admittedly shorter lengthwise, but not in height.  The nacelles are only bigger on the front, and the pylons connect closer to the front of the engines.  For the most part, the proportions of JJ's Enterprise are right in line with the original.  I personally love the redesign, and quite frankly am shocked at how many people hate it.  I showed it to one of my college professors who is a Trekkie since TOS, and he loves the new design.  When someone who grew up with the original design loves the new version, it's a good sign that something is being done right.  Let it be people.  Let it be.

I can't wait to see how Wiley brings life to this re-imagined Enterprise.  It's a great design and Wiley's model does her justice.

I find myself agreeing more and more with people like Shadow. I still think it would be funny if Wiley's UJJ Enterprise got out before the film. I would laugh my socks off.

It's a very nice model Wiley...I do have a few suggestions for ya.

I made my own version of the saucer section to make sure the angles (in the picture) are correct. :D  Anyway, I've got other stuff to do but hopefully those suggestions will help you out.

The perfect saucer is just the TMP refit saucer stuck on a new body. Its that simple.

I agree with what Cordanilus said about the saucer (at least the image, not the complete new one).
It does have a heard angle, but that's what Dalekanium's has, he just needs to make the section that pops out larger.
I also agree with Cordanilus's statement about the nacelle strut. I needs to be a bit thinner to give it a better flow with the rest of the ship.
I do like the curvature of the nacelle though, please don't straighten it, if it's too straight, it doesn't seem right with how curvaceous the rest of the ship is.

I'd just like to mention, this is just my two cents. It's your project, do whatever you want, as long as it's available for download eventually, I'm happy.  :D

Also, I attached an image of where the nacelles seem to be (or at least where they seem to be, to me, in the trailer)

I think the nacelles in the most recent update look almost right, I think they look a bit too far down.  :P

Honestly, I think that we can't say for sure if everything's 100% correct on this Enterprise until we see a bit more of the ship.  Here's hoping we get more soon.  :D

Well, when the HD version of the new trailer is released on the net tomorrow, you KNOW loads of fans will be doing a crap load of screenshots, so we can use that as a better reference.
Personally, I can't wait to see the front view of the Ent with the station in the background. THAT BABY'S GONNA BE MY WALLPAPER!

Oh, and just out of curiosity, when more images are either released or better quality screens are taken from the new trailer, are you going to possible start modeling the bridge?

Woah boy, slow down! I havnt seen Wiley do a bridge and bridges are the hardest thing to model and stuff. I'm sure someone like Barihawk or baz1701 would be happy to do something like that.

Here is a small update.  The saucer is fixed, and so are the pylons (I might have to fix these).   I have lengthened the engineering hull a little bit.  The nacelles still need fixing, but I'm getting the hang of it.  The new screencaps will really help with the bussard section.  Enjoy! :D
