The Gagarn has been fixed for both the missing torpedo, I had 2 scripts of the same torpedo with a slightly different name and didn't catch it (obviously I have them so it worked in the test) and the spelling error as well. Redownload the Gargarn and you'll get Gagarin. Side effect of the minds ability to autofill a word when reading, there is already a gagarn out there.

. Been waiting for that one for nearly a YEAR now!

EDIT: I don't think all the scripts came with the Gagarin. It seems that the .py file that should be in Scripts/custom/ships is not there, therefore it will not register in the ship selection.

Starforce2 edit: Go yo your hardpoints folder (unless you wish to dl the ship again) and add the number 2 to the end of the torpedo target script in the HP. If you want to fix the spelling issue and everything else just re dl the ship.

This only serves to make me more excited about Asylum's Olympic Class. If it's anything as good as the Gagarin we are in for a treat.

Get BC Ship Menu Creator

Use that program to find the ship script and icon file. Then write your own description and add stuff like maximum warp speed and such. Then use the program to create a plugin, which you have installed into your BC directory. Then it will work.

Or the simple way..BCMP, select the ship, select the race, hit plugin and you're done. Depends if you care about tgl and warpsepeed.

BCMP is old and outdated and useless now lol
Barihawk is correct actually - use BCSMC instead... BCSMC does everything BCMP used to do, plus more... and it is easier to do, IMO... too many people using BCMP hit the File Checker and screw up their installs (altho BCSMC has an option to fix all that also...)

I recently had a chance to try the Gagarin and to be perfectly honest, this converted model is kind of a let down. I can see in the game that the model itself has a number of visible mesh errors caused by the conversion to BCs model format. The textures on some of the ship could be alot better aswell.

IMHO, this conversion was badly handled. But I love the design so I'll give it a 7/10

you bumped this 2 1/2 month old thread just to post your "disappointment"??? are you kidding me?
perhaps next time you can be called upon to assist in model conversions and texturing and all else that was done so wrong and to your dissatisfaction?

I downloaded a ship and gave an honest review of what I thought of it.
I know I would never be able to do a better job in a million years. I think that much was implied by all my W.I.PS which I eventually deleted because they were below sub-par.

On a short note: I thought I had the right to give an honest opinion. I guess I was wrong.

there is such a thing as constructive criticism and/or giving an honest opinion of course... your tone, however, was a bit snotty and disrespectful... if you cannot give an honest opinion or offer constructive criticism without maintaining respect and politeness, then please keep your views to yourself...
and, given that this thread is so old, it usually isnt a good idea to bump a thread when your only intention is to bluntly point out flaws and everything that wasnt meeting your expectations, as though you demand better...

and what you were wrong about wasnt giving an "honest" opinion, it was how you just did it and especially bumping an old thread to do so...
