not bad, it would be better if there were glows, and the planet wasnt shaped like an egg.

But what if that poor planet was named Planet Egg?  :P

Not too bad ah but I agree with Cy here would need the alpha glows I can help you set them up if you'd like!

ACES_HIGH renders using Poser I believe, which is similar.  Might want to ask him.

You called?

They are similar, the GUIs are completely different, but I should be able to help.  I have Daz too, I hardly ever use it, but I can still look for something if you need help.

Obviously the first thing I noticed was the aforementioned egg-world, it seems that the background was stretched to fit the render window, in Render Settings, you need to change the dimensions of the render to match the aspect ratio of the image.

I'm not as familiar with setting up the materials in DAZ, but from what I understand they are handled the same way as Poser, which doesn't know how to use multichannel images, so glows will need to be separated from the original texture.
To do that, open the images in photoshop, then on the select menu, click load selection and then choose the selection "Alpha 1" in the selection box of the window that pops up, check the "invert" box then click Ok.  You now have everything except the glowing bits highlighted, so set your color to black and black it all out, leaving the glows.  After this, all you need to do is save it as a different file name.
once you have your alpha glows ready, go into the mat settings and add the new glow textures to the Ambient tab of each material, and set the ambiant color to white.

I don't have gimp but I know there are a few people here that do use it.  You can also use TGA tool to extract them, but it doesn't work as well, so that would require a bit more work.

Evolutionary Sisters.
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

A very nice pic of two very nice ships.  And though there's not a nebula or anything in the background, this could easily compete with Tally's and Sovereign's work.
