I can only wish I had your PS skillz, Kill!

One more from me before I post up my Demo Reel. I dont think I had ever done a TOS render before, but considering how nice this one turned out you might see more from me. :) TOS Connie by Raul Mamoru.

I wish I had only half your skills in Max!  Brilliant render, very clean looking.

grr... i just wish i knew how to pull off these effects in MAX....

i did this for my FB cover a few weeks back...

the piss ass attempt at the "haze" around my glows had to be done by rendering out just the glows in a PNG, than blurring them over the final render in another layer in PS... its meh to me.. plus the background i used was sh*t
I came, i saw, i added a Sig.
Later gents, i have Youtube to take over.

Best thing to do? Don't do it all in Max. Using a post-effects program like PS or After Effects will not only save you render time, itll make your shots look even better.

When I render out my videos, I use two passes: a normal pass and a self illumination pass. You can enable a self illumination pass through the render elements tab. When thats done, I usually apply the SI pass over the main pass and blur it out by either using a fast blur of 15 or a gaussian blur of 2 to 5 and set the transfer mode to Add. Give that a try and let us know how that turns out. :)

That said, here is my demo reel for 2012!

Why wasn't I notified that you were gonna use the Resurrection?  I almost missed all the animation goodness!!!!  BTW, great job, and thanks for using my ship!

Actually, that's very nice and shows the Fair Haven the way BC probably won't, as an actual dock.

that depends on comp power i think.
if one has the rig to run all ten of the 2048 maps she requires, thats what she will look like in game.
ive yet to crank out the 4096 maps to use for toa's video...

theres still some lighting i need to plug into that scene to finish setting it off.
